Learner Clinic (LC) Program — Foundational Module | Cledor Education
Course format: Online | Language: English | Duration: 8 hours (estimated)
Course Overview
This course is the foundational module of the Learner Clinic (LC) program, introduced by Cledor Education. It equips participants with the skills to apply critical thinking in the self-directed study of any standard textbook or learning material, while building core competencies in creativity, innovation, and problem-solving.
Learning is delivered through a series of self-paced online activities supported by the Cledor Learning Management System (LMS), including discussion boards, video demonstrations, project tasks, and live presentations. Throughout the course, participants will gain practical insights into self-directed study that they can apply immediately in their personal, academic, and professional development.
The LMS serves as the central hub for all course activities, giving each registrant access to multimedia course materials, quizzes, live online meetings, program facilitators and client service staff, end-of-program assessments, and automatic certificate generation upon successful completion. The LMS also maintains a complete record of all modules and courses registered at Cledor Education, supporting each learner’s lifelong learning journey.
Related modules on memory and recall techniques (mnemonic devices) and study-time management are available and may be accessed separately.
Purpose
This module equips participants to use EmoEles as a practical tool for stimulating critical thinking in the self-directed study of any standard textbook or learning material, enabling deeper and more effective learning and application of the content of such material.
Competencies to Be Acquired
Upon completing this module, participants will be able to:
- Systematically stimulate and apply critical thinking in the self-directed study of any standard textbook or learning medium — through the proper analysis, synthesis, and application of content — using the EmoEles self-directed learning system to move beyond rote “chew and pour” memorization.
- Use EmoEles as a time-saving, learner-centered study tool: self-studying topics ahead of class, then sharing learning with peers while the teacher acts as guide and facilitator.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this module, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate the use of EmoEles in the self-directed study of a standard textbook using an EmoEles study notebook. (NTECF Pillars 1, 3; NTS 1b, e; 3e)
- Apply critical thinking to design a solution to a real problem. (NTECF Pillars 1, 3; NTS 1b, e, g; 3e)
